The great migration of life
The Sardine Run, a sardine migration in southern Africa, is the world's largest and best-known underwater wildlife event. Its spectacular appearance has inspired several documentaries over the years, but, like the tree that hides the forest, it has more often than not prevented their authors from looking beyond its incredible scenes of predation, scratching the surface to understand and present the ins and outs of this phenomenon of colossal proportions.
To fill this knowledge gap, while preserving the visual appeal of Sardine Run and highlighting its threat, is the mission set by the 1 OCEAN team in this two-film mini-series.
